Nesta Baxter scooped two golds at the KWON Kickboxing Tournament in Solihull this weekend.
The 13-year-old fought in the girls’ -51kg points and -51kg light continuous categories, winning both.
Fellow Evolution Martial Arts member Ambie Brocklesby fought in the boys’ under 30kg points event and and came fourth overall.
Both youngsters are looking to build upon a fantastic 2013, which saw them make their Great Britain debuts at the junior and cadet WAKO European championships in Poland.
Last year also saw Nesta crowned as the Wako British champion, also winning a number of CIMAC events.
She was the Grand Champion in both points and continuous, also winning the Super League, East Open, Fighters’ Open, Windsor Open and Dorking Open.
On top of that she won bronze medals at the CIMAC World Cup in both points and light contact competitions.
Silver medals were won at the Bristol Open (points), King’s Battleground (light contact) and Northants Open.
There have also been other medal successes around the country.
Boston High School student Nesta fights and trains with Team Blue Blood, a national kickboxing team based in Nottingham.
She also trains with Boston’s Evolution Martialm Arts, where she also coaches younger pupils.
