Five golds for the Evolution squad

Team Evolution returned from the penultimate CIMAC series contest with five gold medals.

And the kickboxers representing Boston’s Evolution Martial Arts also claimed two silvers and a bronze.

Nesta Baxter, Chelsea Leggatt, Kev Hunter, Zac Baldry and Mackenzie Warrant were in action in Surrey as part of the CIMAC Dorking Open.

Chelsea, 16, fought in the girls’ +56kg light continuous category and met a good Welsh fighter in the final, but took gold in her category.

Nesta, also 16, claimed four golds, winning all of her sections - the girls’ -56kg point fighting, girls’ -56kg light continuous, ladies’ -60kg light continuous and the ladies’ -60kg point fighting.

Kev, who will be representing Team GB at the Senior European Kickboxing Championships in Slovenia at the end of this month, fought fought in the +80kg senior men’s light continuous category, claiming a silver.

Zac, 13, fought in the boys’ -47kg point fighting section and claimed a bronze.

Finally, nine-year-old Mackenzie Warrant fought in the -31kg boys’ point fighting and light continuous, but missed out on a podium spot despite some fine fighting.
