Young cricketer Lewis Holmes has received a reminder of his first fivefors.
The 13-year-old has been presented with one of the balls which helped him claim a fivefor - mounted and inscribed to make sure the occasion isn’t forgotten.
That came this season when playing for Boston Cricket Club Seconds, in a South Lincs and Border League Division Two match against Billingborough. He took 5-25.
The previous week, he claimed stats of 5-25 for Boston Thirds against Pinchbeck.
Lewis has represented Lincolnshire at cricket since the agew of 10.
This season he won the bowling award for the club’s Under 13s team, as they became joint-winners of the Lincolnshire Cup and outright winners of the East Lindsey Cup.
As well as playing regularly for the club Mayflower men’s Seconds Xl, Lewis was also an important member of the club’s under 15s team, who were joint winners of the Lincoln and District Junior League.
Lewis received his trophy from Martyn Miles of Lincolnshire County Cricket.
