Boston Town boss Dan Barrett is targeting an unbeaten November.
Goals from new signing Gary Cross, Renzie Lobendhan and Alex Beck saw the Poachers leave Northampton Sileby Rangers with a 3-2 victory on Saturday - ending the club’s 10-match winless run.
Now Barrett (pictured) is eyeing a brighter future.
He told The Standard: “My target is an unbeaten November and hopefully further on after that.
“Hopefully, this will be the start of a nice run where we will get some points on the board and start building our way back up the league.”
In a quirk of the UCL Premier fixtures, Town will now host Sileby in the reverse fixture at the DWB Stadium on Saturday (KO 3pm).
Cross made his return to UCL Premier level at the weekend after work commitments saw him playing further down the footballing ladder in recent seasons.
He has previously turned out for Brigg and Cleethorpes Town.
Utility man Shane Clancy has also returned to Town, while playmaker Matt Kennedy has left the Poachers to join Spalding United.
“I am looking forward to the return fixture on Saturday,” Barrett added.
“We have three players back available which will make a great difference to the squad.
“The squad is piecing together nicely now and I will have the hard headache of picking a 16, not only an 11.”
