Alex Beck is being tipped to bang in the goals for Boston Town this season.
The fomer Poacher has agreed to rejoin the club following his spell with UCL Premier rivals Deeping Rangers.
And boss Nathan Collins says he and his number two Daryl Clare - a former Grimsby Town and Boston United striker - both think Beck’s goals can make a difference.
“He’s been absolutely fantastic in training,” Collins said.
“Daryl’s really taken to Alex. He likes him as a person and as a player and he is expecting a lot from Alex.
“They have been doing some work together and Alex is looking in good form.
“We don’t want him to carry all the burden of scoring goals, but we think he definitely improves the squad.”
Beck, who came through Boston United’s youth team ranks, is already well known to Town fans.
He scored 34 goals for the Poachers in his previous spell from 2010 to 2012.
In his second season he was top scorer with 18 goals despite leaving the club in January for Deeping.
