Table-topping Boston Cricket Club have bolstered their ranks.
Tom Baxter’s side have brought all-rounder Tom Bell and wicketkeeper and batsman Matty Hood back to the club in a bid to strengthen the squad.
The duo have both returned to the club after playing for Boston’s Lincs ECB Premier team last year.
Both began the season with Friskney in the South Lincs and Border League Division One, but have been convinced to return.
“It’s great to have them back,” said Baxter.
“They are two very good cricketers at this level and it will be good to have them involved again.
“They left due to work commitments affecting their availability.”
Bell made his comeback on Saturday, making 13 not out with the bat in Boston’s six-wicket victory over Woodhall Seconds.
That win means the Mayflower men remain four points clear of Billingborough in the South Lincs and Border League Premier Division.
Meanwhile, Hood is expected to make his return this Saturday as Boston make the trip to Belton Park.
After beating Woodhall, Boston expressed delight in a fantastic team effort in a game which was Andy Hewitt’s final appearance before switching to football with Boston United Reserves.
“He has been a great asset and will be missed in the side,” Baxter added.
