Blank week gives Boston Town the chance to get back to basics

Boston Town will face their second successive weekend without a fixture today.

Saturday’s UCL Premier fixture at Huntingdon was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

And this week it is the Poachers’ turn to have a blank weekend, due to the UCL Premier housing just 19 teams.

After watching his side beat UCL Premier leaders Spalding United last week, boss Nathan Collins admits his side were chomping at the bit to return to action.

However, he is eager to make the most of the free weekends: “We’ll train again this Saturday,” Collins said.

“I’ll never complain about having time to work with the lads.

“There are lots of patterns of play we want to work on.”
