Lori Borbely is calling on Boston Town to put on a show when they host Wellingborough on Saturday.

The caretaker manager is desperate for his side to add to their points tally and climb up the UCL Premier table.

“We’re in front of our home fans and we want to put on a show,” Borbely told The Standard.

“We want them to have something to celebrate with us.

“Your home games are the ones you need to be winning.”

Tuesday’s 2-1 victory over Peterborough Northern Star saw the Poachers end a run of six matches without victory.

Borbely was adamant that Town would turn things around - and now his wants his squad to build upon that victory.

He added: “It’s frustrating when you’re losing by just one goal.

“We haven’t won as many games as we want to, but I’m not going to start getting stressed.

“We’re playing good football and creating chances, we just haven’t had many lucky breaks.

“We’ve had this before. I know that when we start scoring more goals then our results will improve.”

Town are hoping to welcome striker Ryan Oliver back from injury this weekend, while the Poachers are waiting on news from Alex Beck’s scan after the striker broke his thumb.

Saturday’s match kicks off at 3pm.
