Josh Ford scored twice to hand Boston Town a 2-2 draw against a Grimsby Town XI.
The Mariners brought a strong mixture of reserves and youth teamers to Tattershall Road last night, including Boston-born keeper Harry Ashton.
But, despite being given a stringent workout, the Poachers coped well to make sure the friendly contest finished all square.
“Josh Ford got two goals and there were some good performances from our first-team lads,” said Town joint-boss Ian Dunn.
“I was happy with our perforemance and our (reserve) boys.”
