Boston Town boss Ian Dunn hailed his side as ‘superb’ after recording a 3-0 victory over Long Buckby.
The Poachers finished 2012 with back-to-back victories.
Boxing Day’s last-gasp victory over Sleaford was followed by yesterday’s comprehensive 3-0 victory over the Bucks in the UCL Premier.
Lori Borbely, Jason Field and Ben Good netted for Boston.
“They played the ball around well in the first 15 minutes, but fortunately they didn’t really threaten our goal,” Dunn said.
“But apart from the first 15 minutes we were superb.
“We said this was coming for a while and it’s good to finish the year on a high.”
Borbely fired Town ahead on the turn after Josh Ford’s free kick eventually found its way to his feet.
Field doubled the advantage with a free kick which evaded everyone in the penalty area and found the net.
Good’s finish was the icing on the cake.
Youngster Matt Cotton selflessly set up the striker when he was poised to shoot, Good firing into the roof of the net from nine yards out.
