BOSTON Town manager Phil Jones has kicked off his stint as Poachers boss with back-to-back victories.

Goals from Mark Foster, Sam Kirton and Alex Beck earned Boston a 3-0 victory at Northampton Spencer yesterday.

And a further three United Counties League Premier Division points were earned on New Year’s Eve with a 2-1 home win over THrapston.

After going a goal down early on, the Poachers fought back in the second half... although leaving it late.

Craig Parker levelled as his 85th-minute corner evaded all before finding the net.

Then in stoppage time, Gary Bull fired home from the spot after Lori Borbely was upended.

The New Year’s Eve clash saw Bull, Mark Foster and Shaun Baker return to the fold.

Jones has been promoted from the post of reserve team boss until the end of the season.
