Boston Town boss Ian Dunn has challenged striker Josh Ford to reach the 20-goal mark before the end of the UCL Premier Division season.
The young striker grabbed a perfect hat-trick - a finish with his head, left foot and right foot - within 19 minutes as the Poachers won 4-1 at Harborough on Saturday.
Now Dunn has told his forward to reach that target before the season ends.
Speaking before last night’s clash with St Ives, Dunn said: “He’s on 14 goals now and it would be great for him to reach 20 in his first real full season at this level.
“He’s a young lad who is very much a confidence player.
“But to be able to reach 20 goals in a season will put him in a great position to start next season.”
Ford looped home a header after just four minutes before doubling Town’s advantage with his right.
But goal number three was the pick of the bunch as he fired home from 20 yards with his weaker foot.
Harborough pulled a consolation goal back but Callum Stocks added Boston’s fourth.
Dunn also gave the thumbs up to midfielder James Reed - on loan from Boston United - who set up two of the goals.
“Reedy’s buzzing because he’s enjoying playing regular football,” Dunn added.
“He’s obviously United’s player, but we’d love to have him stay with us a bit longer.
“The team spirit’s brilliant right now, and new players like Reedy and Harry Ashton are both part of that.”
