Boston Town ready for Blackstones test

BOSTON Town will be aiming to win their fifth successive UCL Premier clash tonight as they host county rivals Blackstones.

The Poachers will take to the Tattershall Road turf without strikers Gary Bull and Danny Matson, who have both been released by the club as manager Martyn Lakin looks to re-shape his squad.

Town suffered a 1-0 league defeat in Stamford earlier this campaign, but returned to the south of the county to earn a Lincs Senior Trophy success, winning on penalties after a thrilling 4-4 draw.

“They’ve done a fantastic job at Blackstones this season,” said Lakin.

They won the the league game against us but we’ve improved since then.

“We deserved to win the cup game in normal time, without having to go to penalties.

“They’ve got some good players there but we’ve turned a corner here.”

Kick off is 7.45pm.
