Boston Town boss Ian Dunn is challenging his side to claim their first victory of the UCL Premier campaign this weekend - at the expense of basement team Harborough Town.
With three defeats and three draws so far this campaign, the Poachers sit one place above Saturday’s opponents.
And Dunn is backing his side to claim their first maximum against the side who have lost all five of their opening matches this season.
“We haven’t won yet, we haven’t done ourselves justice yet,” he told The Standard. We feel we’re in a bit of a false position.
“We’ve had a tough start but played well and not always got what we’ve deserved.
“Saturday’s an important game for us. It’s must win.”
Ollie Maltby and Luke Wilson were on target as Boston beat Blackstones in the FA Vase on Saturday, while Jordan Nuttell found the net last Tuesday as the Poachers drew 1-1 in their league clash at Wisbech.
Dunn described those two results as a ‘step in the right direction’.
However, striker Liam Nimmo and utility man Mark Thompson have both left the Tattershall Road club.
On Tuesday, Town host Holbeach United at Tattershall Road (KO 7.45pm).
The Tigers have undergone a huge overhaul since winning the UCL Premier title last season.
“It’s another game where we are targeting three points,” added Dunn.
“We need to start winning matches and proving what we can do as a side.
“I’m sure it’ll be another good test.”
