Indy Aujla believes he can be the man to fill Conor Marshall’s boots for the rest of the season.
Marshall is currently sidelined after suffering a fractured eye socket.
However, Aujla - who has been brought back into the side recently - is keen to play his part in United’s promotion bid.
“I’ve been training really well. Training’s been good and it’s given me that focus, as I’ve not been featuring a lot,” he said.
“I really enjoy my role in midfield. But wherever the manager needs me I’ll be there and I’ll always give 110 per cent.”
Aujla also praised the side’s defence, who have conceded once in their past three matches, adding: “You have a lot of reassurance back there.
“They’re alays communicating, always winning their headers.
“The keeper does the same and that gives his defence confidence as well. It creates a ripple effect.”
