PILGRIMS midfielder Ben Milnes says his stoppage-time leveller against Colwayn Bay was the highlight of his first season in senior football.
But the teenager is hoping to have a greater impact for Boston United next season.
“That goal against Colwyn Bay was the highlight, definitely,” he told The Standard.
“It’s always a good feeling to score a goal.”
With United trailing 2-1 against the Seagulls at York Street in October, Milnes collected the ball 25 yards from goal.
After setting himself and making space for a strike, he unleashed a tremendous right footer which found the top corner of the net.
And now, Milnes - who joined the Pilgrims from Leicester City’s academy - is hoping for an even better second season with United.
“I’m training hard in the summer and I want to be in good form when we start training in early July,” he added.
“It was good to play my first season in the grown’men’s game.
“Hopefully, I can be better next season.”
