After Danny Spearkes had put the Stutes in front after eight minutes, Marc Newsham treplied from the penalty spot to level the contest.

And after that, Boston didn’t look back as they dominated the contest.

The match was put beyond doubt as Danny Sleath and Jason Lee both netted after the break.

The the story of the day was at the other end, where Bastock marked his mileston with a relatively untroubled day on the road.

“We’re delighted. After last week we wanted to bounce back and the lads did exactly what we wanted them to,” said manager Lee.

“We went a goal down and could have gone the other way. But Newsham tucked his penalty away and we went on to get what we deserved.

“We could have scored 10 today, I don’t think that’s an exaggeration.”
