Boston Rugby Club have reached the final of the Notts, Lincs and Derbyshire Plate.

The Blue and Whites were handed a pass into the showpiece match after opponents Tupton failed to honour the fixture.

Twice a date was set and twice the away side postponed the contest - due to a league match taking precedence and being unable to raise a side.

Boston will now face Buxton in the final, which will be played at Matlock Rugby Club on April 27. Kick off will be at 12.30pm.

Boston will be without a Midlands 3 East (North) fixture on Saturday.

The week after they entertain derby rivals Skegness at the Boardsides (KO 3pm).

Boston were narrowly beaten 13-12 at Nottingham Moderns on Saturday.
