Dennis Greene labelled Boston United’s stalemate against Stockport County as the most one-sided draw he’d ever seen.

Liam Marrs’ first goal in senior football cancelled out Jack Ryan’s opener for the Hatters at York Street.

But the Pilgrims couldn’t edge in front despite numerous chances.

Dayle Southwell and Marc Newsham both brought top stops from keeper Danny Hurst, before he tipped Scott Garner’s drive onto the crossbar in the final minute.

“It’s the most one-sided draw I’ve ever seen, I think,” Greene reflected.

“It’s two points dropped because all the results seemed to go our way.

“The performance warranted three points today.”

Giving credit to Hurst, the United boss added: “The keeper, he’s made some unbelievable saves.

“We’ve got in there and got the shots on target but the goalkeeper’s managed to keep it out.

“We’ve got in the box countless times and created plenty of opportunities.”
