Carl Piergianni and Dayle Southwell have both been named in the Vanarama North’s team of the season.
The Boston United duo have both claimed plenty of plaudits for their performances this term, and manager Dennis Greene says both fully deserve the recognition.
“They’ve both been excellent for us last season, it’s great to see them in there,” he said.
Defensive lynchpin Piergianni was named in the team of the year for the second successive campaign, while Southwell was acknowledge for his 30 goals.
“Hopefully, next year we can have an even better season and get three or four lads in there,” Greene added.
Southwell was also selected for the England C friendly against Ireland but couldn’t answer the request as he is still recovering from a hernia operation.
United were also awarded the Programme of the Year award for the fourth successive year, while their Active Pilgrims campaign won United In The Community the Best Health Project title at the league’s AGM.
Team of the year: Ben Hinchcliffe (Fylde), Josh Langley (Fylde), Jake Lawlor (Guiseley), Piergianni, Simon Grand (Barrow), Bradley Barnes (Fylde), Danny Boshell (Guiseley), Oli Johnson (Guiseley), Southwell, Adi Yussuf (Oxford), Omar Bogle (Solihull).
