Boston United gives me a buzz, says Notts County loan signing Dixon

Kyle Dixon believes Boston United will be the perfect platform for him to show what he can do on the football pitch.

The 19-year-old midfielder made his Pilgrims debut during Saturday’s 4-1 victory over Solihull Moors, after joining on loan from Notts County.

Dixon reckons the charged atmosphere he experienced at York Street at the weekend will stand him in good stead for life at Meadow Lane.

“I was saying to the lads, the crowd were all getting behind us and I felt a buzz,” he said.“I felt like I was really playing again on a Saturday with a crowd behind us.

“I’ve not felt that for a long time.”

Dixon caught the eye of Pilgrims boss Dennis Greene after impressing on loan for Grantham Town, where he played alongside fellow United new boy Jamie McGhee.

And now the pair have both moved east along the A52, Dixon hopes it can help both their careers progress.

“I knew Jamie from Grantham and know what he can do,” Dixon added.

“I wanted to go there and get my name out. I’ve obviously impressed the right people - now I want to go and impress more people.”
