Boston United face a trip to Skrill Premier side Southport in the next round of the FA Trophy.

The tie is the Pilgrims’ reward for their 4-1 defeat of Redditch at the Jakemans Stadium on Saturday.

The Merseyside outfit are currently 18th in the division above Dennis Greene’s in-form side, with 21 points from 19 games.

United will be hoping to repeat their FA Cup success of 2008, when they knocked out Southport with a 2-0 victory at a time when their opponent were again a division above in the footballing pyramid.

Subject to confirmation, the tie will be played at Southport’s Merseyrail Community Stadium on Saturday, November 30 (kick-off 3pm).

A new date for the Pilgrims’ scheduled Skrill North fixture against Workington should be announced in due course.
