Goalkeeper Paul Farman has been recalled by Lincoln City.
The 24-year-old stopper, who has played four times for Boston United during his loan spell, is expected to feature for the Red Imps in their FA Cup contest against Alfreton Town on Saturday.
That is because Birmingham City refused to allow Nick Townsend, who is himself on loan at Lincoln, permission to play in the competition.
Farman’s recall could cause problems for Boston United as Sam Vince is preparing to serve a three-match ban for the red card he picked up at the weekend.
Vince is eligible to play against Solihull Moors on Saturday, but then he will be sidelined.
If Lincoln are beaten by Alfreton then Boston could possibly be able to convince the Red Imps to allow Farman to return.
Third-choice stopper Andy Hewitt is currently with Wisbech Town on a dual registration.
