Boston United make the ‘marks’ against Tadcaster Albion and progress in FA Cup

Boston United have progressed to the next round of the FA Cup – and netted £7,500 prize money – with victory over Tadcaster Albion today.

Jason Lee’s men overcame the team ranked three divisions below them with goals from Mark Jones and Marc Newsham (penalty). Both strikes came in the second half.

The result means the Pilgrims will be in the draw for the fourth qualifying round, which is due to take place at midday on Monday.
