Boston United must get points on the board this weekend, according to striker Spencer Weir-Daley.
Following Saturday’s victory at Stockport County, the forward says it is vital that the Pilgrims back that up, believing teams who want to challenge need to rack up as many points as early as possible.
“It all depends on the start,” he said.
“Everyone knows in this league that it you get off to a good start you can carry on and ride the wave.
“The start is vital. Then we take every game as it comes.”
Weir-Daley believes the squad is still getting to know one another following eight new signings in the summer, but added that now is the time to come good.
He said: “There’s been some interesting signings.
“I still think we need to gel together a little bit.
“We’ve got to come together sooner rather than later and get a positive start.
“Then who knows what can happen.”
