Boston United re-sign Burge and promote Sturman

MIDFIELDER Josh Burge has returned to Boston United.

The 21-year-old has joined the Pilgrims on loan until the end of the season.

He arrives on loan from fellow Blue Square Bet North outfit Eastwood Town, where he still has a year to run on his contract.

He was allowed to leave the Badgers due to budget cuts.

Burge made one appearance for United during a month-long spell at York Street last season, in the 4-0 defeat at Droylsden.

Ironically, he will be available as the Pilgrims make the trek there again this weekend.

Fellow Pilgrim Ben Fairclough also began the season at Eastwood.

Burge is the second United signing before today’s transfer window closes, after the acquisition of Kallum Smith.

The Pilgrims have also registered 17-year-old defender Lewis Sturman on Blue Square Bet North forms.

The right-back has been on trial at Norwich City this campaign.
