Midfielder Jake Hall says the Boston United fans are making his mammoth journeys worthwhile.
The 23-year-old faces a 250-mile round trip just to play in a home game for the Pilgrims.
And with Boston one of the southernmost teams in the Skrill North, Hall often finds himself travelling almost the length of the country on matchdays.
But he has no regrets, saying: “I don’t mind it. The fans keep me going.
“They’re great. You won’t get a team at this level with such good support.
“It’s amazing how they get behind us.”
With 600-plus-mile round trips to Barrow and Workington yet to come, Hall may change his mood.
But he has no regrets right now.
“I’m enjoying every minute,” he added. “We’re playing well and winning matches.
“It’s a really good feeling being here right now.”
