Boston United have today (Friday) announced the loan signing of defender Liam Marrs from Barclay’s Premier League side Sunderland.
The 20-year-old’s deal runs until New Year’s Day and is eligible to play in the Pilgrim’s trip to Brackley Town tomorrow.
The right-back was an unused substitute for Sunderland in four matches under Paolo Di Canio at the end of last season. Boston United boss Dennis Greene told the club’s official website: “This is a real coup for the football club - securing the services of a player who was a substitute in the Premier League in May. “We look forward to Liam being part of our squad over the next two months.”
