BOSTON United under 18s let a two-goal lead slip as they crashed out of the FA Youth Cup last night.
Charley Sanders scored a brace while James Reed was sent off late on for the Pilgrims in this second qualifying round match.
Sanders put the Pilgrims a goal up after just eight minutes, bravely heading in Reed’s free kick.
After Sam Vince pulled off a stop to deny Jack Upton pulling Dunkirk level, Sanders made it 2-0 after 20 minutes, firing home Jordan Sowerby’s cross.
After another fine Vince save, the Pilgrims keeper could do nothing as Macauley Diuk pulled a goal back on 42 minutes.
And five minutes after the break, the Nottingham-based side were level following a spell of pressure.
Diuk netted his second after springing the offside trap.
And on 54 minutes, the winning goal arrived, Will Coutts strike finding the net to settle the tie.
However, Steve Welsh’s men wanted to emulate last season, where they reached the third round.
Back they came, with Sanders seeing an effort blocked on the line and Aaron Eyett also having a strike deflected to safety.
However, with Reed’s late red card, off went United’s hopes of pulling level.
