Boston United midfielder Ben Milnes says he is due another goal - and he hopes it can be a repeat of last year’s heroics against Colwyn Bay.

Milnes fired home a stoppage-time 20-yard screamer in last season’s home Blue Square Bet North clash with the Seagulls at York Street.

That earned a 2-2 draw in a fiery affair.

But on Saturday, Milnes has visions of striking a winner to put the Pilgrims beyond the third qualifying round the FA Trophy.

“I’m due another goal, aren’t I?” admitted Milnes, who has found the net just once this campaign.

“The FA Trophy is definitely a competition we want to progress in - we want to get further than last year.

“Last year’s game against Colwyn Bay here was a tough one. That was a draw, but we want to win on Saturday.”

Last season, the Pilgrims reached the second round, claiming the scalps of Workington and BSBN champions Hyde, before suffering a spirited 4-2 defeat at Dartford, who won promotion from the Blue Square Bet South.

With a final at England’s most famous football stadium at stake, United boss Jason Lee also wants to see his side victorious.

He added: “Let’s go for it. It’s Wembley, why not?”
United season ticket holders can get a £2 discount for Saturday’s match (KO 3pm), by taking their ticket books to the club offices before 3pm on Friday.
