Boston United boss Dennis Greene has snapped up central defender Carl Piergianni as he continues to build his new-look Pilgrims squad.
The 21-year-old Peterborough United youth product had played for the Pilgrims’ Centre of Excellence during his teenage years.
He made his debut in the Football League for Posh in 2010 before going on to make 44 appearances for Stockport County during the 2011-12 Blue Square Bet Premier campaign, scoring four goals. He spent last season with Corby Town.
The centre-half joins goalkeeper Ashley Timms and experienced midfielder Gary Mills as the third new recruit for new boss Greene.
Greene said: “Carl represents another piece of the jigsaw we are putting together.
“He is a commanding and solid centre-half and has a good pedigree, so we are looking forward to working with him once pre-season gets under way.”
