FORMER Boston United duo Matt Hocking and Tonu Pascu have joined Pinchbeck United.

Hocking - formerly of Sheffield United, Hull City, York City, Boston Town and the Pilgrims - spent the start of pre-season on trial at United.

However, after failing to land a contract, he has agreed to sign for new player/manager Ian Dunn as he revamps the Peterborough Premier Division outfit.

Romanian Pascu had a spell at United under Tommy Taylor in 2008, but after being unable to hold down a regular place, moved to Boston Town.

He has also turned out for Swineshead Institute in the Lincs League.

Former Boston Town and St Albans striker Dunn - whose dad Brian used to play for United as a winger in the 1950s and 60s - took over the reins this summer after spending last season playing for the club.

Jamie Stevens, another former Pilgrim, has joined UCL Premier side Holbeach United.

Like Hocking, he also began pre-season on trial with United.
