JORDAN Fairclough has left Boston United.

The defender is free to search for another club after agreeing to have his contract cancelled.

The 20-year-old made 20 appearances for the Pilgrims since joining from Corby Town in the summer.

Fairclough – the son of former Nottingham Forest and Leeds United defender Chris- found himself slipping down the pecking order following the arrival of full back Conor Marshall.

He has not been named in the first-team squad for the past two weeks.

Lee Canoville, Nathan Stainfield and Kevin Austin are also available to play in his position.

Fairclough’s cousin Ben remains at the club.

Of his 20 appearances, 16 were starts.
