Boston United striker Ben Fairclough believes the Pilgrims are still on course to finish in the Skrill North’s top five.

Despite the club going through some indifferent form in recent weeks, the attacker is still brimming with confidence.

He said: “We’re more than capable of finishing in the play-offs.

“We’ve got a good team here.

“This is the strongest squad I’ve known in my time at Boston.”

After playing seven of their past eight matches on the road, United return to home comforts for two contests this week.

Firstly comes Saturday’s home clash against Vauxhall Motors (KO 3pm).

Marc Newsham and Spencer Weir-Daley scored as Boston drew 2-2 at Ellesmere Port in September.

United then host struggling Workington on Tuesday.

Kick off against the Reds, who are currently sitting bottom of the table, will be at 7.45pm.
