Skipper Scott Garner is urging Boston United to strike first and silence the Edgeley Park crowd on Saturday.
This weekend sees the Pilgrims return to the north west to face Stockport County in Vanarama North action (KO 3pm).
Garner is one of just four remaining members of the United squad who kicked off last season in style, leaving Edgeley Park with a memorable 4-1 victory.
After scoring the first goal of that game, Garner believes it is vital for the Pilgrims to start quickly again and silence the home terraces, which attracts some of the best attendances in the division.
He said: “Hopefully, we can silence the crowd and put Stockport on the back foot.
“If we can get off to a good start then we can do that, let’s hope we can do that again.
“We’ve been looking to get off to fast starts and counter attack teams, so let’s hope we can do that again.
“We’ve got lots of pace in the side and that can cause problems for other teams in this division.”
The club captain is also calling for the United supporters to play their part again, just as they did when they cheered their team to the three points last time around.
He added: “With the amount of fans we took to that game, that made a difference as well - as they sat silent once we went in front, while our fans made it a great atmosphere.”
