You are never guaranteed an easy game in the FA Cup, but Boston United manager Dennis Greene is hoping for a home tie at least.

The balls will be drawn out of the hat at lunch time today, and the Pilgrims will then learn who they will face in the third qualifying round.

And Greene admits he has some preferences.

When asked what draw he wants, he said: “A home draw against a club we should be able to beat - even if we don’t play well.

“You don’t want to play somebody in your league.”

Spencer Weir-Daley and Ricky Miller both netted doubles as United eased past Stafford Rangers 4-0 on Saturday.

And with leading marksman Marc Newsham sidelined, the boss was happy with how his other strikers performed.

He said: “They’ve got to step up to the plate.

“Newsham’s got most of the goals this year.

“Spenny and Ricky go and get two each and that’s what you’re looking for, others to get in the goals.”
