Boston United manager Dennis Greene admits he is likely to make changes to his starting XI as the Pilgrims travel to Leek Town for FA Cup action on Saturday (KO 3pm).

He was left fuming after Saturday’s 2-0 defeat to Hednesford Town.

And with central defender Carl Piergianni returning from suspension and right back Zak Mills likely to be fit again following injury, they both look set to be involved.

“Pidge will certainly be fit and he’s guaranteed to start,” Greene said.

“If Mills is fit then he’s guaranteed to start as well.

“It’s as simple as that.”

Question marks still remain over the fitness of striker Marc Newsham, who is slowly regaining his match fitness following a long-running knee problem, and injured winger Jamie McGhee.

Newsham was set to feature in a friendly against Chesterfield last night, but the contest was postponed in a bid to protect the sodden Jakemans Stadium pitch.

Striker Charley Sanders’ loan at Histon has come to an end and the forward may also be in contention to make the squad.
