Boston United keeper Dan Haystead says Paul Lister has been a great signing for the club, both on and off the field.
Haystead and the defender have been teammates at Hinckley in the past.
“I’ve known him for a while and he’s a great character in the changing room, and he will give you his all on the pitch,” the keeper said.
“He’s a great header of the ball, and he talks.
“He’s a great signing for the club and he’ll only get better with the more games, learning the way we play.”
But away from the pitch, Haystead still believes Lister will be a good influence on the squad.
He added: “He’s good news, he gets everyone going.
“You need that in the changing room, you need that relaxation and what he gives you with the banter.
“He’s a lively guy, although he was a bit quiet his first week with us.”
