Histon 1 Boston United 1: Mills nets his first goal for the Pilgrims in a forgettable fixture

Boston United boss Dennis Greene’s return to Histon ended in both sides sharing the spoils.

Greg Mills handed the Pilgrims - who hammered Histon 6-0 earlier in the campaign - a dream start, firing home after just two minutes.

Latching on to Tom Ward’s pass, he scored from 20 yards.

However, the Stutes drew level in the 15th minute, Danny Fitzsimons firing home following a corner.

It was the result neither side wanted, in a game which had little by way of entertainment.

Greene failed to get one over the side he managed until December, and his Pilgrims’ winless run has now stretched to four matches.

But things are worse for Histon, the draw seeing them fall into the Blue Square Bet North relegation zone.

They are now a point behind Corby Town with a game in hand, but just two matches to put that right.
