Wyberton were handed a taste of their own medicine on Saturday as they were beaten 5-1 at Horncastle Town.

Just two weeks earlier Gary Frost’s side had hammered the Wongers 5-0 in the Challenge Cup.

However, things were reversed in Horncastle on Saturday.

Curtis Yeatman netted Wyberton’s consolation in a contest where the away side were undone by a poor first half performance.

The result leaves Wyberton 10 points adrift of Lincolnshire League leaders Skegness Town.

They are in fifth place on 13 points, with Skegness United (20), Horncastle (20) and Hykeham Town (19) also above them.

On Saturday Wyberton will be looking to return to winning ways as they host 10th-placed Market Rasen Town.
