Dennis Greene’s pre-season plans have received another set-back, as winger Greg Mills has left the club.
The exciting 22-year-old has joined Conference North rivals Barrow.
He follows defenders Nathan Stainfield and Tom Ward as the third player to agree to spend next season at York Street, only to move elsewhere.
But while Ward has joined Gainsborough Trinity and Stainfield has dropped down to the UCL Premier to play for Spalding United, Mills has moved due to work commitments.
The Leicester-based winger - who played seven times for United last season, scoring one goal - has chosen to join Barrow as he prepares for a new life in the Manchester area.
“I couldn’t commit to Boston and wasn’t right to start off the season knowing that,” Mills honestly admitted.
This leaves Greene needing to add a midfielder, as well as two central defenders and a left back to his squad.
