Jason Field is determined to make the most of his return to Boston United.
The left back came back to the Pilgrims after a stint with Boston Town.
After leaving York Street for the Poachers in October, he was convinced to return to the club after club captain Gareth Jelleyman left to join Corby.
“I knew I’d never play in front of Jells,” said Field.
“He’s a quality player and was the captain.
“I learnt a lot from him, but now he’s gone it’s my time to step up and give it all I’ve got.”
The youth team product admitted to mixed emotions about leaving the Poachers, but couldn’t turn down the chance to return to the Blue Square Bet North.
He added: “It was a tough decision. I didn’t want it to be like last time when I wasn’t playing.
“At Town I was enjoying my footballl.
“But I thought I have to take this chance.
“If I said ‘no’ I probably wouldn’t get another chance to play at this level.”
Field moved to the club under ex-boss Graham Drury.
