Jones takes charge of first Boston Town match

PHIL Jones will take charge of his first Boston Town match today, as the Poachers host UCL Premier rivals Thrapston.

Jones was promoted from the reserve team to first team dug-out this week, given the job until the end of the season by chairman Mick Vines.

And his first game will see Town host Thrapston.

The Poachers won 3-2 against the Chancery Lane outfit in mid-December, ironically during stand-in manager Lori Borbely’s first game as boss.

Gary Bull could also feature for Boston, after rejoining the club.

Bull was released by former Poachers boss Martyn Lakin, shortly before he resigned.

The club’s all-time leading scorer is two goals short of his 200th for the club.

Kick off is 3pm.
