Judge me when I’ve built my side, says Boston United boss Greene

Dennis Greene has asked for the Boston United fans to give him time to make his own stamp on the team.

Since taking over the dug-out job from Graham Drury in early March, the former Histon and St Neots boss has only brought in one player, winger Greg Mills from Worcester City.

Greene has admitted he will make changes to the squad - especially in defence - in the summer months.

And he is asking the fans to judge him only when he has created a team in his own mould.

Greene said: “I’ve only been here a short time, I’ve stuck with the same personnel until the end of the season.

“I would say judge me more on next season when I get a chance to bring in my own players.

“If I bring my own players in you can tell me off for that.

“But I’m just trying to get the best out of the group I’ve got.”

Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Histon has seen the Pilgrims’ winless run stretch to four matches.
