JASON Lee believes his Boston United side were ‘full value’ for their 3-1 victory at Gloucester on Saturday.

Marc Newsham netted twice while Ben Milnes completed victory for Boston.

David Bird replied for the Tigers.

After the victory, the Pilgrims boss said: “I’m pleased, we more than deserved to win.

“The last few results have gone away from us, but we played really well.

“I’m disappointed we conceded after half time, but it was a good goal and would be hard to pick where we let ourselves down for that.

“Other than that, they didn’t create many other chances.

“We could have had more, Newsh could have had his hat-trick, but we were professional and defended well.

“The front three were also a handful. We could have got many more goals as we pushed on.”

And Lee also believes his side have video evidence to back up how well they played.

He added: “Gloucester put their games up on YouTube, so hopefully people can see our goals and realise we were full value.”

With keeper Paul Bastock ill, Ricky Drury made only his second leagfue start for United.

He added: “March last year was last league game for me, it’s been over a year and a long time to wait.

“To get three points is important, we definitely needed them.

“I wouldn’t say I had too much to do, the defence were excellent.”
