Legends from Boston United and Boston Town ready for action

Legends from Boston United and Boston Town will turn back the clock as they prepare to do battle.

Pilgrims and Poachers of old will face off at Tattershall Road on Sunday, April 28... all in the name of charity.

United’s all-time appearance record holder Paul Bastock has put together the amber and black team.

Among those who have pledged to return are Dr Martens and Conference title-winner Peter Costello, home-grown striker Micky Nuttell, record goalscorer Chris Cook and defender Martin Hardy.

Andy Lodge, Mark Angel, Mark Clifford and Nick Conroy are also smong the squad.

The Town side - managed by highly-respected former manager Bob Don-Duncan - wil include Mick Brown, Dean Elston, Matt Price, Shaun Baker, Paul Langford, Ross Don-Duncan, Paul Goodhand, Dave Scotney , Lee Rippin and the two top club goalscorers - Gary Bull and Carl Smaller.

Also pulling on blue will be Lori Borbely, Steve Clark, Mark Foster, Ian Dunn and Leigh Taylor.

Money raised will go to the Butterfly Hospice Trust. Kick off will be at 12.30pm, and entrance costs £2 (including a programme).
