Dennis Greene has come up with a unique way for Boston United to do the double over runaway league leaders Chester FC... bribery.

With Chester winning at Gainsborough last night (Thursday), victory over the Pilgrims could secure the Blue Square Bet North title in front of their own fans at the Deva Stadium on Saturday.

However, manager Greene believes that joining in the celebration party and turning up with some cakes may do his side a favour.

He said: “This is a good game for us in a sense that we go there with everyone expecting us to be beaten.

“There’s no pressure on us.

“We go there with no expectancy.

“Maybe we can give them some cream cakes to help them celebrate.

“Maybe they won’t put as much into it then.”

Chester currently sit on 100 points, 18 clear of the Lions, who have a game in hand.

The Blues’ only defeat of the league season came at Boston, going down 3-2.
