Jamie McGhee admits that he loves being given the freedom to attack.
The winger has impressed since joining Boston United from Grantham Town.
And despite being regularly asked to hold own a more disciplined midfield role, he admits he looks forward to the times when he is used as part of a front three.
“I love it. It’s more natural to my position as a wide player,” he admitted.
“Dennis (Greene - manager) said it would suit me playing in that three.
“I love it and love every minute of it.”
However, with the likes of Ricky Miller, Marc Newsham, Spencer Weir-Daley, Ben Fairclough and Ryan Semple also in contention for that role, McGhee admits he may not get to play in attack as much as he would like.
“We’ve got quality players that could easily start who aren’t starting, so I just taking each games as it comes,” he added.
“Then it’s up to the manager to decide what he wants to do.
“I don’t mind being in midfield, I’m quite tenacious and like to get a foot in.
“It does change my game a lot but you just have to adapt to it. If it’s an unnatural position, you still do the best you can for the team.”
