Lincolnshire progress in Inter-League Cup

BOSTON United Reserve players helped the Lincolnshire League representative side to a 4-3 victory over the Midland Football Combination on Saturday.

The Yellowbelly side - managed by Boston boss Glen Maddison - needed extra time to progress in the FA Inter-League Cup at Bromsgrove Sporting.

United’s Tom Sergeant (penalty) and Liam Ogden were on target while Scott Wilson and an own goal completed the scoring.

Boston keeper Andy Hewitt was also called upon to save a penalty in Worcestershire.

The Lincolnshire League side, also contained United players Scott Dawson, Ryan Barker, Richard Jackson and Steve Lovett.

They will now progress to entertain the Cheshire League on Saturday, February 18.
