Zak Mills wants Boston United to complete the rest of the campaign unbeaten.

The Pilgrims defender has been part of the team which has picked up 20 points from their past eight matches - not suffering a single defeat since the February 21 loss at Guiseley.

And now the centre back wants more of the same as United look to secure a play-off spot and promotion.

When asked about Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Stalybridge Celtic, Mills said: “It feels like a defeat in some ways because of how well we’ve been playing.

“But it keeps our unbeaten run going, other teams have lost in that time and we’ve managed to stay unbeaten.

“Hopefully, we can do that for the rest of the season and prove we are the best team in this league.

“We’ve not lost in eight games and we’ve got momentum, so we should be firing on all cylinders for the rest of the season.”

Mills says he doesn’t keep as eye on Boston’s rivals’ results as he has faith in his team making sure of their own success.

“We just need to concentrate on our own games, it’s still in our hands,” added Mills.
